An Introduction To The Riches Of Ronnie Hayward

"Mr. Joel Korte is always thinking outside of any preconceived ideas of musicians -- and because he is -- he is depositing those groundbreaking ideas inside his pedal boxes." - Miles Patrick Yohnke

"Joel Korte has stuttered his entire life. He spent his childhood filled with anxiety over public speaking. But now, as an adult, through his company: 'Chase Bliss' he allows musicians all over the world to express themselves in their own musical language. In fact, his products allow them to speak in many different languages." - Miles Patrick Yohnke

The main theme of this article deals within the field of music, though the contents can be applied to any field of work or profession. I originally wrote "The Riches Of Ronnie Hayward" back in 2008. Move ahead a decade plus and it seems to be more relevant than ever. I wrote a simple piece with the hopes that people would reflect on the real purpose and meaning of life.

Years later, Mr. Joel Korte would come into my life and I would watch from its beginnings, his company "Chase Bliss Audio" flourish. In the musical world, there are certain products coveted. Two examples of this are the Linn LM-1 (drum machine) and the ARP 2600 (synthesizer). These examples of creation have had lasting meaning and purpose.

Joel Korte has stuttered his entire life. He spent his childhood filled with anxiety over public speaking. But now, as an adult, through his company, he allows musicians all over the world to express themselves in their own musical language. In fact, his products allow them to speak in many different languages, musical languages; the only common languages known

worldwide.

It has never crossed my mind what kind of car Joel Korte drives or the size of his dwelling. I only think of his products and how he interacts with his fellow humans. I hope you choose to learn more about what Joel Korte is doing to help children manage their stuttering.

At the heart and core of it all is - who am I? I believe his heart and core's purpose is to create an unspeakable wonder with the purest inessence, your most moral high ground, both one to be appreciated and one to aspire to. - Miles Patrick Yohnke

A couple of years back, I had the good fortune to start working with "Rockabilly Hall Of Fame" artist, Ronnie Hayward. Although I enjoyed his music and live performances, it was Ronnie's simple life that really grabbed my attention. See, Ronnie doesn't have a mortgage, or a big shiny car. In fact, he owns nothing but his upright bass. Ronnie has always been more interested in what he leaves behind in life rather than what he can accumulate.

In a society so caught up with debit cards, credit cards, SUVs, fast food and Blackberrys, Ronnie's philosophy makes our fast-paced, hectic ways seem rather meaningless. I think there is a great life lesson there: perhaps we all need to take stock and simplify our lives, and to share the gifts and knowledge that each of us holds. As Jack Kornfield wrote: "The things that matter most in our lives are not fantastic or grand. They are the moments when we touch one another."

Mr. Hayward may only own his upright bass, but he possesses something of far greater value: his passion to touch people with his art.
