About Me
When I told my wife I was going to do a blog she said I suppose it’s going to be all about you. Yeah well, kind of I guess. It’s just that I get all these damn stories in my head, they just sit there and pile up making me crazy. It’s not creative writing it’s release writing. When I write the words down it frees me a little. For the sake of you the possible reader I will make sure everything is 3rd party edited before I posted them on the blog. A while back I was feeling old (79) and a little of what’s it all about. My brother Bill had sent me a Christmas card and in it, he inclosed a copy of a small tribute I did for my dad when he passed. He praised me for my writing ability and said I was always his hero. Well, I never thought of myself as any kind of a hero. But there it is written in black and white thank you for that Bill. Shortly after that, I was telling my sister Linda about all the steno pads I have filled with the thoughts that come rolling out of my head every morning when I wake up. I mentioned that I do submit articles to senior newspapers and some are printed and I will continue to do so. She replied that she doesn’t read senior papers and she thought that maybe my siblings would like to read what I write. Never one to pull punches she mentioned my age and that I should do this sooner than later. I realize that’s all I really want more than anything else. For my immediate and extended families to maybe stop and take a minute in their busy lives and read some of my stories. So it begins with my friend Henry who was our mainstay when we published the Neighbourhood Express and my all-things computer guy is making this part of my journey easier for me. We couldn’t have done our publication all those years without his talents and friendship. As soon I mentioned I wanted to do a blog he said "I got this" and in just a couple of days it became a reality.
